Whaaaaaat.....“I became gay after my father’s friend raped me” – 23 Year Old Nigerian Man Reveals.

23 Year Old Nigerian Man Reveals
A 23-year-old Nigerian man, identified simply as Femi who was among the 42 homosexuals arrested in a Lagos hotel in July has revealed that he became he became gay after his Father’s friend raped him.

According to him, they were celebrating a birthday with friends which ended when they were arrested as they were charged with engaging in “gay activities”. Femi spent a month and two days in jail.
According to ABC Australia, since his arrest, Femi has been kicked out of home and now shuttles between “friends’ lounges and lovers’ beds.”
He has lost his job as a cleaner, left his studies at university and had sex for money to help pay for a ticket to Ghana where he hopes he can slip into obscurity.
Femi says he “became gay” at 14 when he fell in love with the man who raped him, an older man who was close friends with his father. He kept the relationship a secret until his father accused him of being “gay and acting girly”.
“When he was angry he would start flogging me,” Femi says.
“Any mistake and he would hit me. Every minute, every hour.”
After a month and two days in jail following his arrest, an NGO bailed him out.
“I tried to bribe my way out of it and members of the [LGBTI] community went to speak with my father…[he] asked them to let me die in [jail],” Femi says.
In 2014 former president Goodluck Jonathan signed a bill which proscribed penalties of 14 years’ jail for same-sex marriage and 10 years’ for same-sex “amorous relationships”.
Days after the hotel arrests, the Lagos State Attorney-General Adeniji Kazeem said the tough stance taken with the men was to help put “a stop to the exploitation of under-aged children” by gay men.

However, 15-year-old Doyin*, who was also arrested says no sex with minors took place. Doyin was in jail for seven days before he was released, but unlike many, he wasn’t fazed by the consequences.
“My parents know I’m gay. This is my lifestyle. This is what I choose and they say I should live my life,” he says.
“A gay is a human being and it’s God that created me like this .
I don’t have feelings for women. I have feelings for men. A gay is a human being [and that’s why I’m bold. I didn’t want my mum to know’
For Tunde*, the consequences were foremost in his mind.
“The police came through and started beating us so I covered my face because I didn’t want my mum to know,” he says.
Bundled into a cell with hardened criminals, Tunde says he was beaten up by another prisoner, called the President, who was instructed by police to extract confessions.
“This is when I had no choice … I said I was gay,” he says.
Along with the other men, Tunde pleaded not guilty to the charge in court, but his picture, name and HIV status were taken by local media and splashed across newspapers around the nation.
“When I came out my mum found out and the people I work with were abusing me saying I’m a girl,” he says.
“My grandma bought the newspaper and said I was not part of their family anymore and that I should leave the house.”
The men return to court on November 22. Lagos activist Peter Kass, whose NGO — Access to Health and Rights Development Initiative — was at the hotel conducting HIV tests for some of the patrons on the night of the arrests, claims gangs used social media to catch unsuspecting gay men out to either beat them up or exhort money from them.
“What people do is ping you or you get chatting and then you talk about hooking up,” he says.
“When you get there you discover the person isn’t even gay and there are six or seven men there … who are just out there to beat up gay men.”

See Corpse of Kogi Civil Servant Who Committed Suicide Hanging On Tree (Photo)

A gory picture of a top civil servant who committed suicide purportedly due to hardship is being circulated on social media.

A social media user, Nana Sule has released the real picture of Edward Soje, the Director of Teaching Service Commission that committed suicide due to alleged hardship caused by Governor Yahaya Bello.
In the suicide note, the late Edward Soje addressed to his wife of 17 years, praying for her and the children who were born after a childless marriage.

He allegedly ended his life barely 10 days after his wife gave birth to a set of triplets in an Abuja hospital.
Many had alleged that he killed himself after being owed 11 months outstanding salary arrears by the Kogi state government. However, a family source said he couldn’t link Soje’s alleged suicide to the 11 months outstanding salary arrears he was being owed by the state government.

Why We'll Assemble a Crack Squad Against Algeria - Super Eagles Coach Talks on World Cup Qualifier

While many Nigerians will be expecting Coach Rohr to use the dead rubber final-day 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria to try out some fringe players, the coach has revealed that the team that will face the Fennecs on November 10 would be a crack one.
Coach Rohr
While speaking in an exclusive interview with The Independent on Sunday, Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, said that the team that will face Algeria on the final-day 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 10, would be a crack one, as he's set to try out some fringe players.
Rohr, who spoke through the team’s media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, said given that a fresh list would not be released for the friendly match against Argentina, there was the need to get the list right even from the match against Algeria.
He said; “The coach has assured that the list for the Algeria match will be out this week. He has also assured that we are going to be timely in order to prepare well."
Speaking on whether the same set of players invited for the Algeria match will prosecute the friendly encounter against Argentina and what the squad would look like, Ibitoye said:

“We have just four days after the Algeria match to play Argentina, so there is no need for a fresh list. That is why it will be a very strong list that will cater for the two matches. People have been asking whether there will be more home base players.

“But we have two already in the team and I think it is enough; home base players have a lot of opportunities like CHAN to prove themselves. Like I said, we are playing Argentina immediately after the Algeria match, so we are going for the best,” he said.

The match against Algeria holds nothing for both countries as Nigeria had already bagged the sole ticket in the CAF Group B of the qualifiers while Algeria are merely playing for pride.

Nigerian Professor Invents HIV/AIDS Drug (see details)

Prof. Madubuike Ezeibe of Veterinary Medicine, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike has called for clinical trial of his HIV/AIDS drug.
Prof. Madubuike Ezeibe
A researcher, Prof. Madubuike Ezeibe, has called on the Federal Government to carry out a clinical trial of the drug he invented for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, Aluminum-Magnesium Silicate, reports Punch.
Ezeibe who is a professor of Veterinary Medicine, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, made the call in Umuahia on Monday.
A clinical trial is a study that explores whether a medical strategy, treatment, or device is safe and effective for humans. It shows which medical approaches that work best for certain illnesses or groups of people.
The don who presented a paper on the potential of the drug as both antiviral and raw material, at a world conference on Ethnopharmacology in Chicago, United States, on May 2, 2016, said that more than one year after he invented and presented his findings at different international conferences, no authority anywhere in the world had disputed the research findings.
“I, therefore, appeal to the federal government to institute an inter-ministerial committee to carry out clinical trial of the drug in six centres across the country without further delay.

“The committee should comprise federal Ministries of Health, Education, Environment as well as Science and Technology, with, at least, 1000 sample patients from each state of the federation.

“Some of the findings of the research include that silicates have molecules that are 0.96 nanometre in size while HIV has molecules as big as 110 nanometres.

“The particles of AMS are positively and negatively charged, while HIV-infected cells are positively charged.

“The AMS are immune stimulants; one can use simple sugar (glucose) to transport charged molecules across the mucous membrane to the blood.

“Glucose helps to transport the drug to any part of the body, including ‘the sanctuary’, where other drugs cannot reach to attack the HIV-infected cells.

“So, if these findings are true and nobody has challenged the claims of the research, let the federal government set up an inter-ministerial committee to conduct clinical trial of the medicine,’’ he said.
Ezeibe expressed joy that the Vice Chancellor of MOUAU, Prof. Francis Otunta and the University Senate had investigated his claims and given their approvals.
He said that aside from the support from the university, the Abia Government also sponsored the publication of the book on AMS which, according to him, is now available for sale.
The researcher said that no fewer than 500 HIV cases within and outside Nigeria had been referred to him which he treated.

“All the HIV cases were referral from a medical doctor to the Medical Director of MOUAU. I have also handled referrals from different parts of African and Asian continents,’’ Ezeibe said.

Read how Notorious Kidnapper, Evans Is Being Treated At Maximum Kirikiri Prison

Controller of Prisons in Lagos State, Tunde Ladipo, has shared how notorious kidnap kingpin Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike, Aka Evans is being treated at the Kirikiri Prisons in Lagos.

In an interview with Vanguard, the state controller said there is no preferential treatment for Evans, rather he’s being treated like every other inmate in the prison.
He said:
“We have laws rules and regulations that guide them. Evans is like every other inmate in the prison. There is nothing special about him. It is just that there is so much hype about him being a suspected kidnapper. As far as I am concerned, he is an ordinary inmate. So far, so good. There is no way he can even go above the law because he can’t have that chance. We have ensured that our prisons are secure. So there is no cause for alarm.
“In the cases of inmates making use of telephone and other facilities, I assure you that if any case like that comes up and we investigate and find it to be true, we will not hesitate to take positive action. For now, I assure you that we don’t have such thing in our prisons.”
Speaking about the congestion of prisons, Ladipo said:
“In concrete terms, we have been lucky that the former Chief Judge of Lagos State came to our rescue when we had problems in Badagry Prisons. She visited all the prisons because I had to disturb her to come to our aid by visiting the prisons and, in the process of going round, she was able to release quite a number of inmates.
“In Badagry Prisons, she released 80 inmates, Ikoyi 44, Kirikiri Medium 117 and Kirikiri female 13. The Minister of Justice has also been very much concerned about the congestion of prisons in Lagos. I and stakeholders met on one or two occasions to look at the way forward. I have been appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to help us pay the fines of inmates who cannot afford to pay those fines. And many Nigerians are coming to help.
“In particular, a philanthropist who wanted to feed inmates came to my office and I told him that our major headache is the decongestion of our prisons. I pleaded that he should help us pay fines for inmates who could not afford it. Luckily, he was able to release 200 of such prisoners from the medium prison in Kirikiri.”
The Billionaire kidnapper is being held on a two-count charge of conspiracy and kidnapping. However, more charges are likely to follow.

FIFA is set to relax its nationality rules (see deails)

FIFA is set to relax its nationality rules to help players who have represented another country easily switch loyalty.

FIFA is considering changing the rules that govern a player’s eligibility to represent a national team, BBC Sport reports.
At present, players who have played a competitive international for one team cannot switch to another national side.
Cape Verde’s football federation has proposed this rule be relaxed in cases where a player has played only once or twice for a national side.

“There are so many issues that have popped up,” said FIFA’s Victor Montagliani. “The world is changing.”
“Immigration is changing. There are nationality issues that pop up all over the world – in Africa, (and) there are issues in Asia and CONCACAF.

“So it’s a good time to have a look at this and see if there are solutions without hurting the integrity of the game.”
The Canadian, who heads up FIFA’s stakeholders’ committee, is president of CONCACAF, which represents North and Central America as well as the Caribbean federation.

I Didn't Go to School, But I Now Supervise Masters and PhD Holders - Nigerian Billionaire, Indimi

One of Nigeria's richest men and best known business moguls, Muhammadu Indimi, who was recently criticized for donating a lecture hall for an American university, has talked on how he didn't go to school but now controls PhD and Master degree holders.
Billionaire businessman, Muhammadu Indimi
While speaking in an exclusive interview with Premium Times, billionaire business mogul and Borno-born magnate, Muhammadu Indimi, opened up on controversies trailing him for donating a lecture hall for an American university when same institutions in his home country Nigeria are begging for such gesture.
In the interview, the money bag, who is an in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari, spoke elaborately on his foundation’s philanthropy, why he built a hostel for a U.S.-based university and how he was able to rise as an accomplished business man without any background of formal western education.
Here are excerpt from the chat:
Could you kindly shed light on the controversy that trailed your building and donation of a lecture hall for an American University?
You see, about 10 of my children studied in America and in that particular university where I made the donation. And each time I go there to visit them or to attend their graduation ceremony I meet with other students especially Americans who knew me as an accomplished international businessman. And somehow, some of them came to find out that I have no advance certificate of education and yet I was able to accomplish all that  God has blessed me with. So being very inquisitive as they are by nature, the students approached me and asked if I could be available to give them an insight as to how I was able to accomplish such business successes without any form of formal education.
What they wanted was some kind of talk or lecture. And when I went to share my experience with them, I found out that the venue was too small for the crowd that attended the programme, and it was from there I pledged to help them build a better and befitting lecture for the faculty.
I did that in my kind gesture as a father to many children that graduated from that school; and also in appreciation of the recognition and regard they gave me. But what will I hear back home, all kinds of insinuation. Sadly, some persons, especially those from a south south of the country, felt it is their money I took to go build a lecture hall for an American university.
But little did such persons know that all my active life as a businessman I have never shied away from my basic social responsibility in every place I do my business. It was even in the recognition of such kind of efforts that the University of Uyo sent me a nomination letter awarding me an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration. That is because in that state I am fully committed to my corporate social responsibilities as a businessman. I have an ongoing 100 housing units that is going on in that state. Besides that, I have contributed immensely in seeing that the University attains all the requirements that enabled them get their Department of Petrochemical Engineering get accredited and certified as an affiliate of the University of Texas. I have offered more than a 100 scholarship in that university; I have also given about 500 women in the business community there in Uyo soft loans to start their own businesses.
Though some people were blind to all these efforts we have been making in the areas of our corporate social responsibilities, the University community has appreciated us; that is why on the 4th of November, they will be conferring me with an honour of doctorate degree in Business Administration.
It may interest you to know that I have never been to any formal school all my life. No teacher of western education can say he or she had taught me how to pronounce the alphabet ‘A’ in my life. But here I am helping people to get educated in the Western baccalaureate because I know how important it is.
So, how were you able to master the art of reading and speaking in English.
As I told you I have never been to any kind of school. I simply learnt by listening and association with people. I am a very committed person when it comes to learning and adapting. And thank God today, as an unlettered person by Western standard I still supervise people with masters and Phds who are working in my organisation.
As a matter of fact, if any of my employees want to approach me with any project proposal or some kind of memo or  presentation, they have to be well prepared and make sure they did their home work well because they know I will definitely point out any error therein. So Alhamdullillahi, I thank God for his kindness upon me; and I do all that I do for the sake of God. I hate mentioning or celebrating our acts of kindness in the past, but the times have come that people will want to drag your name in the mud with lies. So we have to beat our drum for our selves even though with all humility and comportment. Thank you.
